5 Days Egypt Itinerary

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the Cairo hotel before meeting a representative from Cairo Top Tours to visit the ancient Giza Necropolis, where you can see the Great Pyramid of King Cheops and the smaller second pyramid, demonstrating respect for his authority, built 4,500 years ago. The Mycerinus pyramid in Giza is the largest and smallest, with a lion-like Sphinx symbolizing strength and intelligence. An additional ticket is required for entry, and the tour price includes entry inside the pyramid.

Visit the Valley Temple, which was primarily constructed to carry out King Chephren's mummification as part of the funeral rites that assisted the king through his afterlife. Then, your guide will take you to Saqqara Necropolis, one of Egypt's richest archaeological sites and the location of the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, one of Egypt's 11 royal pyramids. The tour also includes admission to one of Saqqara's pyramids. 

Have lunch at one of the neighborhood eateries in Giza, after which we will travel in a private vehicle to the historic city of Memphis, which served as Egypt's capital during the Old Kingdom. You will be astonished when you see the open-air museum with all the richness of the statues, especially those which were created for King Ramsess II.

After finishing your Giza day tour, we will take you back to spend the night at your hotel in Giza.

Enjoy a daily buffet breakfast at the hotel at 6 AM before meeting your tour guide for Egypt sightseeing. Your Egyptologist will guide you to the Egyptian Museum, renowned for its extensive collection of Egyptian artifacts, including the royal treasure of Tutankhamen, and one of the world's most famous antiquities museums.

The tour will take you to the Citadel of Saladin, the ancient center of the Egyptian government. You will visit the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, a unique imitation of Ottoman architecture. The Islamic Cairo tour will feature mosques, towers, and colorful domes, some over 1,000 years old. The Coptic Cairo tour will take you to the Roman fortress of Babylon and the Hanging Church of the Holy Virgin Mary, also known as Al Mualaka, built above the fortress's towers.

Cairo Day Tours include visiting the Ben Ezra Synagogue, built on the site of baby Moses' basket discovery. It was built above the holy family's crypt and spring, where they spent over three months and obtained their water.

We will stop to have a delicious lunch then we will head to Khan El Khalili bazaar in the heart of Islamic Cairo, and explore the walls and gates of medieval Cairo and the old streets dating back to the 10th century. 

Our representative will take you back to your hotel and overnight in Cairo.

After breakfast, meet your knowledgeable English-speaking tour guide and embark on a 2.5-hour journey to Alexandria, where we will provide air-conditioned transportation and allow breaks along the way. Start your sightseeing at the well-known Pompey's Pillar, which was constructed in 297 AD to commemorate the triumph of a Roman emperor named Diocletian over a revolt in Alexandria. Next, you'll be transferred to the Catacombs of Kom El Shokkafa, which were discovered at the beginning of the 20th century. 

Visit the oldest center of scientific research in history The Bibliotheca of Alexandria. which once was the largest in the world. Located in the city that gives it its name, facing the Mediterranean, it was founded at the beginning of the 3rd century B.C by Ptolomy I. You can't go to Alexandria without eating seafood! enjoy your lunch made out of the freshest ingredients.

Finally, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo.
